Flip DaBird’s Wild Author Interview with Krihstin Zink

Flip DaBird's Wild Author Interviews

Hey y’all. This is Flip DaBird back with another wild author interview. I had to slow it down a bit so you wouldn’t get tired of reading the same ol’ questions. Once we get through this round of authors, I might revamp the questions and do it all over again. This time, I’m sitting down with the ridiculously talented Krihstin Zink. She’s ready to get wild with your boy, Flip. So let’s do this.

FLIP: Hi Krihstin. I like to put emphasis on that “H” in your name so that it comes out sounding seductive when I say it. All breathy. Like, Krihhhhhhhhstin. Come on, that has to get you people hot and bothered hearing me say Krihhhhhstin. Ok, stop laughing Krihstin. You’ve got questions to answer.

Krihstin: Thanks, Chris, for including me...

Put Down the Noose – Dealing with Depression

Notes from C.C.

This isn’t the first time I’ve posted this. In fact, I shared this post probably a little over a year ago when I was going through a rough time. I think most creative people struggle a bit with depression. And before anyone starts trying to define the difference between being depressed and depression, trust me, I know the difference very well. I hear more and more about friends of mine struggling with this, so I thought I would take this old post I wrote for FB and put it here on my website. I’m not embarrassed to say I fight off depression quite often. This isn’t a cry for help. It’s me putting my thoughts to virtual paper, hoping maybe it’ll help someone else realize they are not alone. Most of us just don’t advertise our issues...

Flip DaBird’s Wild Author Interview with Erin Trejo

Flip DaBird's Wild Author Interviews

Good Friday night, everybody! While you’re out getting shitty, stumbling this way and that, playing a little game of “just the tip” because you forgot to pack a condom, your good buddy Flip DaBird is here hanging out with Erin Trejo, one of the coolest chicks writing books today. Let’s get down to business. Here’s a short bio on Erin:

“Erin Trejo is a wife, mother, child chauffeur and author. She loves being able to create different characters and spin a web that makes them come together in the end.

Her books do not stick to just one genre, they span many. She writes about things that are real life situations and fairy tales are not always smooth sailing. Her MC books are hard and gritty and they have struggles just like you would in life.

She also has books that are not so in...

Mayberry Friends’ Poetry – Please Welcome Peach Sangria

Mayberry Friends Poetry

Peach Sangria is the author/poet name of my good friend Eileen. Eileen has been a friend of mine since back when I first started writing erotica. She’s always shared my work and helped me promote whatever I had going on. I’ve read a lot of her poetry and even had the opportunity to read part of her book. She’s very talented and so deep. When she writes, your really feel what she’s saying. So the other night she told me she had a poem she wanted me to share on this website, because she wanted her Mayberry friends to read it first. She values your friendship and wanted you guys to have first crack at her new poem. When I read this, I wrote her right away to tell her how touched I was. I’ll let you guys read for yourselves.

Two friends, one kiss and a goodbye

You are my rock, my bette...

God will get you in the end

Notes from C.C.

God will get you in the end.

That’s what a friend told me recently. We’ve been friends for a while and we both live down here in Central America. He’s been in and out of relationships and finally settled down with someone who is very active in her church. I’m happy for him.

Here’s where things get sticky. He’s known about my erotica writing since I first started, but he’s never really grasped how good it’s going. He used to joke with me all the time about my porn writing and I’d just go along with it, laugh it off, and shrug my shoulders. Most of the time I’d just respond, “Fuck you, man,” and we’d both laugh.

Then he started to say that kind of stuff more often.

Recently, during a Whatsapp chat (not sure if you guys use Whatsapp too, but it’s basically a text mess...

“S.I. Hayes has been telling tales of erotic intrigue for as long as she can remember, long before she was writing them down she was lying in bed with friends telling tall tales and getting them all worked up. Now she works up the lives of horny housewives and loves every moment of it! Dive into her works and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes! See you at the bottom!”

Mayberry Friends’ Poetry – Please Welcome Steven Evans

Mayberry Friends Poetry

I had the pleasure of chatting with Steven Evans leading up to a Facebook event we were both attending. We discussed horror writing and dark fantasy and I knew right away Steve was a cool dude. When I mentioned I was looking for poets to highlight on this website, Steve was the first to send me his work. Here’s a short bio I stole from Amazon (Steve is a humble guy and didn’t really want to talk about himself, lol, so I had to figure out other ways of digging up some info on him).

From the excerpt on his book, Reflections of Life and Love:

“My poems cover everyday issues that we all deal with. I write of pain and loss, of yearning and needing and of heartbreak and confusion. When I write, I want the reader to be able to lose themselves in the story...
